TOM MCGUIRT, Senior Adult Pastor

Tom McGuirt was saved while visiting visiting the Good Shepard Baptist Church while he was a student at the University of Tampa studying commercial art.  He came to Chattanooga to attend Temple Baptist Theological Seminary earning a Bachelor in Religious Education.  Bro. Tom began full-time ministry work in 1974, when he served Grace Baptist Church in Columbus, GA as Associate and Youth Pastor.  Moving to Tampa, FL in 1983, Bro. Tom pastored the Good Shepherd Baptist Church before coming back to the Chattanooga area to pastor Tiftonia Baptist Church in 1988.  When full-time mission work with International Board of Jewish Missions began for him in 2008, Bro. Tom and his family started attending Calvary.  He now serves as our Senior Adult Pastor while continuing his work with IBJM.  Bro. Tom has been happily married to his wife, Glenda, since 1969.  Their three grown children are Alan, Andrea, and Aaron.  They have four grandchildren and are blessed to be raising Mya Moore.
