Sunday night growth tracks
MAKE FRIENDS | LEARN THE BIBLE | GROW SPIRITUALLY
From now until April 30, we will be temporarily changing the structure of our Sunday evening services by offering 11 brand new programs/classes for every age at our church. Sunday Night Growth Tracks is designed to help us all be discipled, rooted, built up, and established in the faith and Bible knowledge. In addition to having programs and activities available for preschool, elementary children and teens, we will be offering 6 Bible-based topics for each adult or married couple to choose from. Each person or couple must choose one to attend the entire time - you do not rotate or change week to week. Click here to register.
Descriptions for each class listed below:
Junior Detectives - Armor of God: Searching for clues to arm ourselves for God. For preschool age. (No registration required for preschool)
Kids Choir: Teaching children fundamental lessons about the Lord through song while preparing special music opportunities for kids to sing. For elementary age. (No registration required for Kindergarten - 5th grade)
"No More Excuses" by Tony Evans: By exploring the examples of men of God throughout the Bible, this study will challenge young men to lay down their excuses, stop compromising, and fight to be a man of character and commitment. Despite their setbacks, failures, and pressures, they can still find purpose, meaning, and direction in life and become the men God has called them to be. For middle school and high school boys. Taught by Matt Lozano. (No registration required for 6th-12th grade boys)
"Worth it" by P31 Fitness: In “Worth It! A Girl’s Journey to Discovering Her Worth in Christ”, a team of women from P31 Fitness takes teen readers on a seven-session journey through difficult issues including confidence, worth, appearance, purity, modesty, and love. Each chapter includes a key verse, action challenges, coloring graphics, and journaling pages. For middle school and high school girls. Taught by Rachel Lozano. (No registration required for 6th-12th grade girls)
Confronting Christianity: Responding to the World's Hardest Questions: In an increasingly-secular world, it is becoming harder and harder to "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you." This class will explore some of the most difficult questions Christians are going to be asked today like "Isn't Christianity Homophobic?", "Doesn't Christianity Denigrate Women?", and "Aren't We Better Off Without Religion?". Not only will we evaluate these claims, but we will also learn how to give an answer when we come face-to-face with these questions. Taught by Sam Melton.
Shepherding a Child's Heart: Principles for Today's Parents: This class is about how to speak to the heart of your child. The things your child does and says flows from the heart. Luke 6:45 puts it this way "...out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks". Written for parents of any age, this insightful book provides perspectives and procedures for shepherding your child's heart into the paths of life. Taught by Greg Powell.
A Christian Worldview of Work: Becoming a Spiritual Influence at Work: Work is a dominant activity of life, and the Bible has a lot to say about one's work life. This class will show you how your work values can be used as a means to exhibit Christlikeness in the workplace. Taught by Ed Francis.
Living By Faith: A study on the great heroes of the faith in Hebrews 11. For ages 55 and up. Taught by Curtis Sayre.
Abraham: Tested, Tried, Proven (Character Study): Have you ever looked back at circumstances in your life and realized that they all led up to a special event? Has your life proven to you that God has a plan for you and everything He’s done was to prepare you for that plan? We are going to embark on a journey through Abraham's life and discuss the truth about how life’s tests and trials are all part of God's master plan for your life. God has chosen each and every one of you for a special purpose and He not only wants to use you in a special way but He wants you to know how very special you are to Him. Are you watching? Don’t miss it! Taught by Andy Gore.
Ladies Bible Study: For ladies only. This is a second time slot for ladies to take part in the Encouraging Women of the Bible series also being done on Wednesday nights. These impactful lessons reveal the effects the Savior had on women of the Bible when they encountered Him. For those unable to attend on Wednesday night, this one is for you! Taught by Eva Maldoff.
Discipleship Pathway: Have you ever wondered what it means to "make disciples"? Or maybe you just want to know practical ways you can be involved in discipleship at our church. If so, then this series is just for you. This will not only be an informative class, but it will also provide hands-on experience with different methods of discipleship. You will leave this class equipped with the next steps for your discipleship journey. Taught by Tim Brown.
