Church Family, The last thing I told you in the previous virus update was that the situation could change. Well, I have made the decision to move all of our services tomorrow to livestream only. Most churches our size in our city are doing the same thing in light of the governor's request to limit gatherings in excess of 250 people. There is at least one reported case of the virus in Hamilton County and maybe others who are untested. We want to honor our authorities and limit exposure for our senior adults especially who may be more sensitive and vulnerable to the infection. It may seem unnecessary to you, but it is the right thing to do. We honor our authorities and we love our neighbors by protecting our neighbors. I don't rejoice in the decision, but it is one that has to be made during this weird time for our country. I would ask that you try to refrain from being upset or too opinionated about what this virus potential is pushing us to do. We certainly are not intentionally trying to upset or make life difficult for anyone in our church. We've never navigated through these waters and are taking them one paddle at a time. Just go with the flow! :) Tomorrow, at 9:30am, our livestream will begin at www.calvaryredbank.org/livestr.... Pastor Chris will teach this week's Life Group Lesson. There will be a short break, and Pastor Aaron will lead us in several songs of worship, and then I will preach a message I wrote yesterday about trusting God that I am eager to share with you. Please plan to tune in and participate like you would if we were physically assembled as a church family.
Similarly, we will have our evening service livestreamed at 6:00PM. We have no plans currently to conduct or livestream a midweek service. I encourage you to watch a previous message or listen to a previous audio podcast through our website. I want to ask you to continue to be faithful to give by using our online giving options through Realm via app or https://www.calvaryredbank.org... The checking account option provides us the most fee-free money. You can also give via text message by sending the keyword calvarygives to 73256. You will get a link back to finish the process. If you are unsure about how to watch or give online, please reach out to one of the pastors via email or phone so we can assist you. We can still continue to be the church we always have been by uniting online in each home to worship and study the Bible corporately. This may be the format for the next several weeks unless the situation changes. These are interesting days, and potentially more challenging days still lie ahead. Please let us know if we can meet your needs in any way in the coming weeks. Keep in prayer and close contact with members of your church family. Most importantly, as we interact with an unstable world, let's show the love and hope of Christ by living and sharing the Gospel. I will miss seeing each of you face to face tomorrow, but I will see you through the screen! "Let not your heart be troubled." Pastor Greg
