Tornado relief opportunities

Want to pass along an opportunity to help, serve, work, and minister to the homes affected by the recent tornado in the East Brainerd area.  The Tennessee Baptist Association has set up headquarters at Concord Baptist Church at 7025 E Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.  Groups meet and rally there at 9AM each morning to form teams to go out to clean up neighborhoods.  Men, women, and teens can show up there and they will direct you to a place to serve.

You will need work clothes, gloves, boots preferably, face masks, etc.  They have supplies like trash bags, etc. They will take your temperature and have you fill out a release form.  Only those with disaster certification can use chainsaws, but bring them if you want to.  

Many of you have asked for ways to help and this is a great and well-organized opportunity that is already making a difference.

Additionally, we are looking at passing out hundreds of Chick-fil-a sandwiches starting on Friday at lunchtime in Andrea McGuirt's neighborhood and Joe and Courtney Good's neighborhood where people are still living in their homes without power.  Those of you that reached out to us to volunteer....we will be contacting you tomorrow about helping.
